About the Opportunity
The size, scale and dynamic nature of our Inventory operation is a fast paced and exciting environment to be in and we’re looking for an experienced inventory leader who would love to join us.
As an integral member of our national NZ Manufacturing Stores team, you’ll be supporting our Clandeboye and Studholme sites while supervising our stores team and building key internal stakeholder relationships.
This is a challenging opportunity where you will be responsible for providing first line support to the workshop team through the timely provision of parts, and maintenance of inventory records using ERP systems, to ensure the right parts are available at the right time. There are also plenty of projects to get your teeth into depending on what you enjoy.
Core responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating the team of 6 direct reports to achieve organisational goals
- Building strong key internal stakeholder and external vendor relationships
- Inventory reporting to meet customer and business demands
- Implementing and training on improved inventory processes to optimise inventory and deliver value
- Inventory management processes and operational compliance
- Ordering and returning parts as requested
- Receiving and unloading of freight, cycle counting and stocktaking the stores.
This is a permanent opportunity based at our Clandeboye site, working Monday to Friday day shifts. You will be expected to travel between both sites on a regular basis.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should be a natural leader and a real go-getter with proven team leadership experience. Additionally, you should have the ability to work independently and the drive to make things happen.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Strong people leadership skills including supervisory or team lead experience
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Tech savvy skills including competency with SAP and intermediate level of MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Inventory management experience including knowledge of hazardous substance would be beneficial
- Full NZ drivers Licence with F endorsement and OSH certificate would be an advantage.
